About the Passamaquoddy Health Center
The Passamaquoddy Health Center (PHC) serves as the heart of the community, providing services to advance the health and wellness of tribal citizens. PHC has maintained mature contract status with the Department of Health and Human Service, Indian Health Services (HIS) under public law 93-638 Title 1. The PHC was established in 1980 as a small tribal health program and has flourished to providing ambulatory health care to the Passamaquoddy community.
Health services are offered to those persons within the Purchased/Referred Care Services Delivery Area who are defined as eligible under federal and tribal guidelines. These services areas include the counties of Washington and Hancock Counties.
