General Job Description: The provider for the Passamaquoddy Health Center will work with clients ages 3 through the lifespan penetrating to issues from problem solving through mental health, addictions, or relationship concerns. This will involve comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for the intake and pertinent assessment tools for treatment planning. The provider will work with individual and group modalities, utilizing eclectic therapeutic tools.
Position in the Tribal Organization: The Mental Health Counselor is a permanent, full-time and/or part-time position within the Behavioral Health Division of Passamaquoddy Health Center.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Work or related field.
- State licensure required. LCPC, LCPC-c, or LCSW
- Proficient in completing intake assessments, writing treatment plans and progress notes.
- Participate in administrative and clinical supervision.
- Knowledge of substance abuse, trauma informed care, and child development.
- Knowledge and ability to follow ethical guidelines and maintain good boundaries.
- Great teamwork skills.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer proficient.
